On 01/08/2024 a white 2004 Ford F250 TX: LRD1833, stolen out of Austin, was used to steal a 2019 18-foot two-axle Century Auto Body Trailer TX: 498510K. Two male suspects were seen committing the offense.

Between Friday, October 20, 2023, at 1:15 pm to Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 7:37 am, an unknown male subject riding a bicycle in the area of 500 blk of Candlelight Lane San Marcos, Texas, damaged a victim’s vehicle by slashing 4 tires and throwing rocks through the vehicle’s rear window. The suspect left property behind.

On Sunday, 12/03/2023, an unknown suspect entered a property overnight on Palomino Road Kyle, Hays County, Texas and stole a 1996 EZ Go Freedom Golf Cart. The golf cart is white in color with burnt orange longhorn logos on the sides and front, with burnt orange and white seats. Battery cables are burnt orange as well.

The suspect then walked to a waiting white Honda Civic, 4-door passenger car where he was picked up by an unknown person or persons.

San Marcos Police Department Requests Assistance in Identifying Burglary of a Vehicle Suspects
(Case # SMPD 2023-32186)

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying Burglary of a Vehicle suspects (SMPD 2023-32186).

On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, between approximately 4:30am and 5:00am, video showed two subjects, one black male and one Hispanic female in the parking lot and mailbox area of 1805 N IH 35, San Marcos, the Verandah Apartments. Both subjects were observed checking door handles to vehicles, until they eventually made entry into several vehicles, taking items.  The suspects are described as:

SUSPECT #1: Black male; approximately between 5’9” and 5’11”; observed wearing a light blue Houston Oilers hat, orange shirt, Khaki shorts, chain necklace, watch on left hand, and black shoes.

SUSPECT #2:  Hispanic female; approximately between 5’6” and 5’8”; approximately 170-200lbs; dyed dark red hair; observed wearing a black shirt, black hat, red spandex shorts, tattoos on both arms, possibly right side of neck, and right upper thigh and lower right leg.

San Marcos Police Department Requests Assistance in Locating Homicide Suspect (Case # SMPD 2023-37900)

Ray Robert Saenz, Jr. was arrested by the United States Marshal Service in Austin, Texas.  He has been charged with Murder, a 1st Degree Felony.

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in locating a Homicide suspect in reference to case number SMPD 2023-37900.

On Saturday, September 30, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., San Marcos Police Department were called out to an apartment on Highway 123. The caller stated there were shots fired and a person was deceased. When officers arrived, they found an adult male, identified as 41-year-old Nathaniel Lamart Hudson, deceased in an apartment unit.

Bullet holes were visible in the dining area of the apartment and several shell casings were collected by police, suggesting Hudson was shot multiple times. CPR and other lifesaving measures were conducted by medical personnel but ultimately were ineffective due to the nature of Hudson’s injuries.

The investigation has revealed that 18-year-old Ray Robert Saenz, Jr. is responsible for Hudson’s death. Saenz has not been located and is to be considered armed and dangerous. His location is unknown. Saenz claims to be a Blood Gang member; however, investigators do not believe this was a gang-related murder.

Detectives have made an arrest in this case.  Omar Guadalupe Galvan-Ochoa DOB: 07/11/1996 was charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a 3rd Degree Felony and Murder, a 1st Degree Felony.

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the Hays County Sheriff's Office are requesting your assistance in identifying the suspect or suspects involved in a Homicide.

On September 7, 2023, at approximately 12:05 A.M., Hays County Sheriff’s Office responded to 16649 IH 35 (Insta-Fuel Travel Center) in Buda, Texas for a report of an unconscious male near the gas pumps.

Deputies arrived on scene and located a male with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. Deputies immediately notified Hays County/San Marcos EMS who responded to the scene. The male subject was later pronounced deceased.

Hays County Detectives responded to the scene and identified the suspect vehicle as a dark colored four door Chevrolet pickup truck with damage to the front passenger side bumper. The Chevrolet truck is equipped with chrome door handles and black rims with chrome center caps. The suspect vehicle was last seen leaving the area, traveling northbound on the IH-35 service road.

Kyle Police Department Requests Assistance in Identifying Hit and Run Suspect(s)

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the Kyle Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a Hit and Run accident.

On Monday, Sept. 4, at approximately 5 p.m., the Kyle Police Department responded to the 23000 block of Interstate Highway 35 for reports of a welfare concern involving a male lying in the grassy median.

Shortly after arrival, Officers located a deceased male with extensive injuries, identified as Lamar Shane Garwood, 57, of San Marcos. After further investigation, it is believed Garwood was walking along the I-35 frontage road when he was struck by a passing vehicle, which is believed to have continued south toward San Marcos. Investigators believe the vehicle involved is a white sedan with damage to the driver’s side bumper and head/fog light.

Suspect 1 is described as:  black male, no shirt, grayish/blue (white-washed) jeans with holes, white Nike shoes with the black logo, blue LA Dodgers hat, black backpack.

Suspect 2is described as:  Hispanic or black male, maroon long sleeve shirt, light gray/blue (white-washed) jeans, black shoes, short black hair.

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, at approximately 3:49 am, video showed a white male enter the locked mailroom at Copper Beech Apartments located 1701 Mill Street San Marcos, Texas. It appeared the subject used a motel card to gain access into the building. The subject stole 16 packages.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage shorts, black/white Adidas shoes, and a black/gray Under Armor cap.

The suspect in this case has been identified Stephanie Preston, and arrest warrants have been issued.

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a Theft-MB (SMPD 2023-21257).

On 05/30/2023 two females entered The Boot Barn at 1050 McKinley Pl and took a pair of boots valued at $449.00.  Further investigation indicated that these females have been involved in numerous known thefts in San Marcos/Austin and the IH35 corridor.

The females were described as a B/F and H/F approximately 30-40 years of age often accompanied by a small child in a stroller.  During past incidents they have used wigs to conceal/alter their appearances.  They have been seen leaving the scene in a silver late-model Nissan Altima.

On June 28, 2023, Shane Alexander Mitchell and Eduardo Alexander Pena were arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief-MA in reference to SMPD case # 2023-14748. They are the 25th and 26th subjects arrested in 2023 associated with the Hays County Crime Stoppers program.

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a Criminal Mischief (SMPD 2023-14748).

On Saturday, April 15, 2023, between approximately 2:00am and 2:30am, two males entered Aspire Apartments and vandalized property belonging to the complex. Neither subject resides at Aspire Apartments.

Suspect #1 is described as a white or Hispanic male, 18-22 years of age, brown curly/wavy hair, 160-
180 lbs., wears gold color chain necklace, and possibly a student at Texas State University-San Marcos.

Suspect # 2 is described as a white or Hispanic male, possibly 18-22 years of age, black/brown hair, 160-180 lbs., wears diamond-like studded earrings and gold color chain necklace, and possibly a student at Texas State University-San Marcos.

San Marcos Police Department Requests Assistance in Identifying Burglary of a Vehicle Suspects
SMPD 2023-09962

On June 28, 2023, Jabari Hudson was charged with Burglary of a Vehicle-MA in reference to SMPD case # 2023-09962. He was previously arrested on June 24, 2023, for Evading Arrest-MA; Resisting Arrest-MA; Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information-SJF x2. He is the 24th subject arrested in 2023 associated with the Hays County Crime Stoppers program.

A second subject has been identified and is pending additional investigation.

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying suspects involved in a Burglary of a Vehicle case (SMPD 2023-09962).

On Saturday, March 11, 2023, two males rode into The Parlor Apartments parking garage on mountain bikes.  Suspect #1 broke the right front passenger window of the victim's vehicle and took property from the vehicle.  Suspect #2 was the lookout.

Suspect #1 is described as a white or Hispanic, brown curly/wavy hair, and facial hair.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, black hair, wearing glasses, approximately 160-180 pounds.

San Marcos Police Department Requests Assistance in Identifying Theft-B and Credit Card Abuse-SJF Suspect
(SMPD 2023-15242)

The suspect in this case has been identified Destinie Ponce, and arrest warrants have been issued.

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a Theft-MB and 2 counts of Credit Card Abuse-SJF (SMPD 2023-15242).

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at approximately 4:24PM, video showed a white or Hispanic female enter Twin Peaks restaurant and walk into the employee locker room. She then stole a purse from a locker and went to the restroom. The purse was put back into the locker, but a large amount of cash was stolen. Another victim reported having credit cards stolen from a locker at the same location the same day. Those credit cards were used on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at approximately 8:31AM at Firestone and again at approximately 9:30AM at HEB. Both cards were declined.

The suspect has been described as a white or Hispanic female with long, black hair, brown eyes, and a slim build.  She was seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and sandals.  Additional video footage showed her wearing a white hoodie with black sneakers and holding a black bag.

Hays County Sheriff's Office Requests Assistance in Identifying Package Theft Suspect (HCSO 2023-36070)

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the Hays County Sheriff's Office are requesting your assistance in identifying a subject involved in a Package Theft case (Case number HCSO 2023-36070).

On June 14th, 2023, the pictured suspect arrived shortly after a package was delivered to the residence in Buda, Hays County.  The suspect walked up to the front door, pretended to knock on the door, then left with the package. The suspect left in the pictured vehicle.

San Marcos Police Department Requests Assistance in Identifying Credit Card Abuse Against the Elderly-F3; Theft of Property-SJF; and Theft of Property-MB Suspect (SMPD 2023-18275)

Hays County Crime Stoppers and the San Marcos Police Department are requesting your assistance in identifying the suspect involved in a Credit Card Abuse Against the Elderly-F3; Theft of Property-SJF; and Theft of Property-MB Suspect (SMPD 2023-18275).

On Friday, May 12, 2023, between approximately 11:00am to 11:23 am, the victim was shopping at HEB and noticed a wallet missing. The wallet had been taken from the victim’s back pocket. At 11:30am, one of the credit cards was successfully used at the Wal-Mart in San Marcos, Texas.

The suspect appeared to be a white or Hispanic female with dark brown or black hair and dark colored eyes.  She was wearing a white or cream and gray striped shirt and black and gray striped pants and carrying a black or dark gray purse.  She left Wal-Mart on foot.
