On July 4, 1990, Crime Stoppers held its first duck race during SummerFest activities in Sewell Park and netted just over $1,400.00.  SummerFest and the Annual Ducky Derby is a big attraction that delights adults and children alike.

  • The more ducks you "adopt" by purchasing Ducky Derby tickets, the better your chances to win.
  • Each duck is marked with a number that corresponds to a number printed on the tickets.
  • The whole "flock" is launched into the San Marcos River over the side of the ridge in Sewell Park. The crowd cheers their ducks from the banks.
  • The first ducks that float to the finish line win prizes! Winning ticketholders do not need to be present to win.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors!!
